Miss Lovick LISTD Principal - ISTD Modern, Ballet and Tap
Lucy Lovick started dancing at the Margaret Durrant School of Dancing and continued her professional training at Laine Theatre Arts, where she gained her Associate teaching qualifications and Advanced dance exams in Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap. She was a finalist for the Laine Theatre Arts Modern Dance Award three years running and choreographed for many of the student shows.

She has had an extensive and successful professional career working in Spain and Italy in television and theatre as a dancer, singer, actress and choreographer. She has worked with many of the top TV directors and producers and has performed with many stars such as Kylie, Take That and Julio Iglesias to name but a few.
Her credits include
The famous TV show ‘Un, dos, tres’ where she was a presenter and lead dancer
In the spanish girl pop group ‘Ahora’, recording an album with a top 20 hit and tour of Spain.
Choreographer and head girl in the musical ‘El diluvio que viene’ at the Calderon Theatre, Madrid
Choreographer and producer for promotional work with L’Oreal, Gillete, Reebok, Motorola and Danone.
Lucy has put her invaluable experience into her teaching and is dedicated to providing expert and quality tuition. She is committed to her professional development and regularly attends courses and seminars in dance and related subjects. She has now reached Licenciate Status with the ISTD.
Many of her ex-students have gone on to full -time training at various performing colleges.

Lucy Lovick is a recognised teacher with the CDET (Council of Dance and Education) and is a member of Dance UK.

Miss Melinda
Miss Melinda BFA
Melinda Green Traves holds a BFA in Dance from the Boston Conservatory. She trained in the Vagonova method of classical ballet at the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory in Connecticut, is a graduate of the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts and studied for a year at the Boston Ballet School. She is a member of the ISTD London Teacher’s Group and has taught dance in Connecticut, New York and London.

With many years of professional performance and choreographic experience in ballet and musical theatre, Miss Melinda has danced throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and the Far East. She performed in “Die Fledermaus” at the Barbican and was a guest artist at the Royal Academy of Music, playing Puck in their production of Britten’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Her favourite role was “Dream Laurey” in the European tour of “Oklahoma!”

She is currently working towards her MA in Education of Teaching dance with the RAD and her Licentiate ballet with the ISTD.

Miss Jo
Miss Jo DDI Ballet Modern and Tap
Jo Asher started training at the Dorothy Marshall School before moving to the Margaret Durrant School of Dancing. She has completed her professional dance exams with the ISTD in Ballet, Modern and Tap. She is a registered member of the ISTD and currently attends the Anthony Clifford Dance Studios for the ISTD DDE teacher training qualifications.

Miss Jo teaches Ballet, Tap and Modern at our Saturday school and is a valuable member of the Saturday team.

Miss Michelle
Miss Michelle DDE Modern and Tap
Michelle Campbell is the newest member to join the teaching team. She trained at Bird College gaining a BA Hons in Performance Studies.
After an extensive and successful professional career working in the industry, she is now dedicated to her teaching. Michelle teaches on Monday afternoons taking ISTD Modern and Jazz, Grades 3 – Advanced.

 Miss Laura
Miss Laura LISTD TAP, AISTD Modern and Ballet, Level 3 Pilates
Laura Watford trained at the prestigious ‘Bird College’, gaining her teaching qualifications and college diploma. She worked professionally as a dancer with Norwegian Cruise Lines around the Caribbean as well as contracts in Theatre and TV in Portugal, Spain and Greece. She returned to England to pursue her passion of teaching and ran the senior school of the Sara Phillips Dance school.

After taking time out to be a Mother to her two daughters Belle and Alyena, she has now returned to teaching concentrating on her love of Pilates. Miss Laura teaches Pilates workshops at the school.

Mrs Rebecca Maskell GGSM
Mrs Rebecca Maskell GGSMBallet Pianist and Singing Teacher
Mrs Maskell is our wonderful pianist who accompanies all the Pre-school Ballet Classes.

Trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she is now Monkey Music’s Company Training Manager and also the Franchisee for Monkey Music here in South East London. She was recently nominated for the Most Outstanding Class Leader on the Whatson4littlesones awards.

Mrs Maskell explores music and song with the young children and develops their musicality through play and imagination.
Both her daughters attended the dancing school and Mrs Maskell loves her advanced adult tap class on a Thursday!

Miss Charlie Donnelly
Miss Charlie Donnelly BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Theatre
Miss Charlie trained at Bird College.
She achieved her BA Hons Degree and Level 3 Diploma in Performing Arts and ISTD DDI Modern
Miss Charlie is one of our Saturday teachers, teaching ISTD Modern and Tap. We are delighted that Charlie has joined our Saturday team.
Miss Chloe Nestor-Frusher
Miss Chloe Nestor-Frusher DDI Modern and Tap
Miss Chloe trained with Miss Lovick for 5 years before accepting a place at The Centre of Performing Arts under the direction of Miss Karen King.
She was awarded the college diploma and completed her Advanced Two ISTD qualifications in Ballet, Modern and Tap as well as her her Teaching Diploma of Instruction of Dance in Modern and Tap.

After graduation Miss Chloe successfully auditioned for Grayboy Productions and embarked on a 9 month Cruise with P and O Cruise Lines in Australia and the South Pacific. She has also worked on various TV commercials and MTV music videos.

Miss Chloe works as a freelance teacher and is one of our guest teachers.

Mr Guy
Mr GuySinging Teacher
Guy trained at the Thelma Yellin College of Performing Arts before moving to New York to pursue his singing career. His work then took him to London and he starred in the West End Production of Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat playing the parts of Issachar and Calipso.
He was the Musical Director for the Theatre Company ‘Make Believe’ and has produced shows such as ‘Annie’, ‘Bugsy Malone’ and ‘Fame’.
He was one of the finalists of the famous TV show – The Voice, in Holland and still regularly returns to perform there.
Guy has a wealth of teaching experience and performance experience and we are delighted to have him inspire the pupils with his singing lessons.
Miss Jenny
Miss Jenny LISTD Modern, DDE Ballet and National, Level 3 Pilates
Jenny Hill trained at Laine Theatre Arts before embarking on her professional career in Spain. She has extensive experience in Theatre and Television working as a choreographer, producer and director. She is currently working as Head of Modern Dance at Brighton College.
Her credits include-
Director of Danza at the JoySlava Theatre, Madrid.
Choreographer for the television programme ‘Los Huevos Del Oro’ TVE Spain.
Choreographer for various commercial work including Gillette, Motorola, Danone and L’Oreal.

Jenny has attained the Licentiate Modern Qualification in Modern Dance and the DDE in classical Ballet and National. She is currently training to become an ISTD Tutor. She is also a Level 3 qualified pilates instructor, a certified spiral instructor and a member of REPS.
Jenny has taught at the school for many years and is now one of our guest teachers for choreographic work and summer school.
